Miško Šuvaković
Miško Šuvaković ( sr-cyr, Мишко Шуваковић; born 24 February 1954) is a contemporary aestheticist, art theorist and conceptual artist in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He taught theory of art and theory of culture in Interdisciplinary Postgraduates Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade. He teaches theory of art and theory of culture in transdisciplinary master and doctoral studies at the Faculty of media and communication. Biography He was co-founder and member of conceptual artistic Group 143 (1975–1980), and was co-founder and member of informal theoretic and artistic "Community for Space Investigation" (1982–1989). He has participated in TkH – theory platform from October 2000. From 1988 he is the member of Slovenian Aesthetic Society. Western Philosophy
Western philosophy encompasses the philosophical thought and work of the Western world. ''Filozofski vestnik'' is a philosophy journal published by the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Manifesta
Manifesta, also known as the European Nomadic Biennial, is a European pan-regional contemporary cultural biennale. History Manifesta was founded in 1994 by Dutch art historian Hedwig Fijen. The first edition took place in Rotterdam. One of the coordinators in Rotterdam was Thomas Meyer zu Schlochtern of the Rotterdamse Kunststichting. Among the local artists brought into the international scene, were Jeanne van Heeswijk, Bik Van Der Pol, and Joep van Lieshout. The 2006 edition of Manifesta was set to happen in Nicosia, Cyprus, under the direction of Florian Waldvogel, Mai Abu ElDahab, and Anton Vidokle. In June 2006, Nicosia for Art, the city-run nonprofit organization sponsoring the exhibition, cancelled the event due to political turmoil around the green line of Nicosia. Jerko Ješa Denegri
Jerko "Ješa" Denegri ( sr-cyr, Јерко "Јеша" Денегри, ) is a Serbian art historian and art critic who lives in Belgrade, Serbia. Biography He was born on 5 September 1936 in Split, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, now Croatia. Graduated on University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy at the Department of Art History where he defended his PhD thesis. He was a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Belgrade) from 1965 to 1991 and a professor on Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy from 1991 to 2007 at the Department of Art History. He wrote more than 3000 theoretical texts, essays, critics about modern, contemporary and actual art in daily, weekly and monthly periodicals as such as in specialized journals. Julije Knifer
Julije Knifer (23 April 1924 – 7 December 2004) was a Croatian abstract painter and a founding member of the 1960s Croatian art collective known as the Gorgona Group. The central motif of Knifer's art is the exploration of meander, a geometric form which he had been creating since 1960 in various painting techniques such as print, oil, acrylic paint, collage and mural. An example of which is the colossal meander created by Knifer on a 20 x 30 m canvas in a quarry in Tübingen (1975). He was also one of the founding members of the Gorgona Group, whose members from 1959 to 1966 were: Miljenko Horvat, Ivan Kožarić, Marijan Jevšovar, Dimitrije Bašičević (who works under the name Mangelos), Matko Meštrović, Radoslav Putar, Đuro Seder and Josip Vaništa. Zlatko Kopljar (born , 1962 in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a contemporary artist living and working in Zagreb, Croatia. He works in a variety of different media including photography, video and performance. The artist always maintains a performative element, either in the production or presentation of the artwork. Since the 90s, Kopljar has called his works constructions which relates both to the constructive relationships within the work, and to the constructive space created in the relationships between the work and its viewers. Milan Orlić ( Serbian-Cyrillic: Милан Орлић; born 15 November 1962 in Pančevo) is a Serbian poet, writer and publisher.
