Miss America's Outstanding Teen State Pageants
Miss America's Teen pageants select the representative for each state for the Miss America's Teen pageant. Although Miss America state pageants used to run unofficial teen competitions, Miss America's Outstanding Teen was the first official teen Beauty pageant, pageant associated with the Miss America Organization and the first for which there was a national competition. The first national pageant was held in August 2005 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. In January 2023 the name was shorten to Miss America's Teen. As this is the teen version of the Miss America pageant, there has never been a swimwear component of the competition: contestants compete in interview, Evening gown, evening wear, active wear, and talent. Miss America's Teen
Miss America's Teen is an American scholarship pageant. It is the sister program to the Miss America Opportunity, and it aims to "promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens." In order to be eligible to compete, participants must first compete and win at the local level and then win the state title. The competition consists of several parts of competition which consists of an eight-minute interview in front of a panel of judges, talent, lifestyle and wellness, evening wear, and an on-stage question. All competitors must be girls between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age. More than $113,000 in scholarship grants were distributed among the 51 contestants in the pageant along with $29 Million in in-kind tuition with 7 universities, with a $30,000 scholarship being awarded to the winner. Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen
The Miss Georgia's Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Georgia in the Miss America's Teen pageant. The pageant is held each June in Columbus, Georgia. Charlie Key of LaGrange was crowned Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen on June 17, 2023, at the RiverCenter of the Performing Arts in Columbus, Georgia. She will compete for the title of Miss America's Teen 2024. In January of 2023, the official name of the pageant was changed from Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen, to Miss Georgia’s Teen, in accordance with the national pageant. Miss Minnesota's Outstanding Teen
The Miss Minnesota's Teen competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the U.S. state of Minnesota in the Miss America's Teen pageant. Natalie Berg of Coon Rapids was crowned Miss Minnesota's Teen on March 25, 2023, at Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, Minnesota. She competed for the title of Miss America's Teen 2024 in Dallas, Texas. On June 21, 2024 she crowned Brynn Olson, 17, of Thief River Falls as Miss Minnesota's Teen 2024 at the Treasure Island Resort in Welch, Minnesota.
