Miranda Green (British Journalist)
Miranda Green is a British journalist, and the former Press Secretary to then Liberal Democrats party leader Paddy Ashdown. Education Green went to Westminster School before studying English at Jesus College, Cambridge. Career After graduation, she worked as a business journalist for two years, including a traineeship at '' EuroWeek'' magazine. She then joined the Liberal Democrats in their press team, becoming in 1997 press secretary and advisor to the party's leader Paddy Ashdown. After Ashdown stepped down as leader in August 1999, Green joined the BBC for a short time to work on '' On The Record'' with John Humphrys, then became a journalist and columnist at the ''Financial Times.'' The World Tonight
''The World Tonight'' is a British current affairs radio programme broadcast on BBC Radio 4, every weekday evening, which started out as an extension of the 10 pm news. It is produced by BBC News and features news, analysis and comment on domestic and world issues. James Coomarasamy is the main presenter, usually presenting the first three days of the week. Richard Addis
Richard Addis (born 23 August 1956) is a British journalist and entrepreneur. He is a former editor of the ''Daily Express'' newspaper, a former novice Anglican monk and founder and former Editor-in-Chief of '' The Day''. Addis was educated at West Downs School, Rugby School and Downing College, Cambridge, graduating with a BA and an MA. Between attending Rugby and Downing he spent two years as a novice at the Anglican priory of the Community of the Glorious Ascension in Watchet, Somerset. His started in journalism as deputy editor of ''Homes & Jobs'' magazine where he was rapidly promoted to editor and, to save money, wrote the entire magazine under various pseudonyms. It was there where he first demonstrated his flair for design when his insisted that his staff should all wear a different colour each day and sit next to each other so their clothes and the editorial floor were colour-coordinated. ''The Day'' is a British online children's educational newspaper founded in 2011. The publication targets children in primary and Secondary education. It has a paying readership of 900 schools using digital subscriptions to teach nearly 1m students per day -- the largest audience of any news brand in the UK in its age group. ''This Week'' is a British current affairs and politics TV programme. It was screened late on Thursday evenings on BBC One and hosted by former ''Sunday Times'' editor Andrew Neil, with a panel of two commentators, one from the right and the other from the left of the political spectrum. The show was introduced on 16 January 2003, as was the ''Daily Politics'', after a major review of BBC political programmes. It replaced the nightly ''Despatch Box'' (1998–2002), for which Neil had been the sole presenter in its later years. In February 2019, following Neil's decision to step down as host, the BBC announced that ''This Week'' would end in July 2019.
