Mirai By Nirman
Mirai by Nirman is a 30-storey commercial high-rise building under construction in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The building is located in Tejgaon Industrial Area, adjacent to Hatirjheel Lake and is being developed by Dhaka-based Bangladeshi real estate firm ''Nirman International''. Slated for completion in the summer of 2027, Mirai is expected to be among the tallest buildings in the city. Finnish architecture firm ''ARCO'' has designed the high-rise. The tower block is LEED Gold certified and will utilise a double-glazed façade for efficiency. It is being constructed using the building information modelling method. Naming The name "Mirai" ({{langx, ja, 未来, mirai, future) is the Japanese word for future, and according to ''The Business Standard'', the tower block "aims to bring the industry into the future with its futuristic design, technological innovation and aesthetics." Hatirjheel
Hatirjheel ( , ; lit. ''Lake of Elephant'') is a lakefront in Dhaka, Bangladesh with surrounding roads and bridges built to ease traffic congestion. The area was constructed under the Bangladesh Army and the Special Works Organization. It is now a popular recreational spot for residents of Dhaka. History Legend has it that the elephants of Dhaka's Pilkhana used to take baths in these wetlands – hence the name ''Hatirjheel''. Architect Iqbal Habib, who heads the consultant firm of the Hatirjheel-Begunbari development project, said that the Bhawal Raja used to keep his tamed elephants at Pilkhana. He said that the elephants were taken to the wetlands through the Elephant Road and Hatirpool. Later, numerous slums were built surrounding Hatirjheel before the construction began in December 2008. MGI Tower
MGI Tower (short for Meghna Group of Industries), is an under-construction , 39-story skyscraper in Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka. The skyscraper is a project of the Bangladeshi industrial conglomerate Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). Located beside the Lake of Hatirjheel, it is expected to house the Grand Hyatt Dhaka and become one of the tallest buildings in Dhaka and Bangladesh once completed. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, based in Chicago, United States, has designed the skyscraper, while China State Construction Engineering Corporation has been contracted to construct the project. Shanta Pinnacle
Pinnacle () is a 40-floor commercial skyscraper in Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka, which is currently under construction. Upon completion, The Pinnacle is set to be the second tallest building in the city, and its first 40-floor building. The tower was approved for construction in September 2018, and is scheduled to be completed by December 2026. The tower is owned by Shanta Holdings Limited.
