Miracle Love
"Miracle Love" is a song by Australian musician Matt Corby, released in February 2019 as the fourth and final single from his second studio album, '' Rainbow Valley''. A live version was released on 8 March 2019. In a discussion with ABC, Corby said he originally didn't like the song, believing it was "too basic" before reworking it. He said is particularly proud of the drums in this song. In December 2019, the song won first place in the Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition. At the APRA Music Awards of 2020, the song was nominated for Most Performed Alternate Work of the Year. Music video The live music video was released on 26 February 2019. ''Rainbow Valley'' is the second studio album by Australian singer Matt Corby. It was released on 2 November 2018 through Universal Music Australia. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2019, the album was nominated for three awards; ARIA Award for Best Male Artist, Best Male Artist, Best Soul/R&B Release while Dann Hume won ARIA Award for Producer of the Year, Producer of the Year for this release. At the J Awards of 2019, the album won Australian Album of the Year. Background Corby spent time travelling and experimenting with a friend Alex Henriksson, with the ideas they created becoming the basis for ''Rainbow Valley''. Dann Hume (born Daniel Benjamin Cobbe, 1 September 1987) is a New Zealand musician, music producer, mix engineer and songwriter. Hume began his career with his two brothers (with Jon Hume and Peter Hume) who formed the alternative rock band, Evermore in 1999. Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition
The Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition is an annual competition that "acknowledges great songwriting whilst supporting and raising money for Nordoff-Robbins" and is coordinated by Albert Music and APRA AMCOS. The competition awards a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and was named after iconic writers Harry Vanda and George Young, known as Vanda & Young. The competition is Australia's most prestigious and lucrative songwriting competition. The APRA Music Awards of 2020 are the 38th annual series, known as APRA Awards, in 2020. The awards are given in a series of categories in three divisions and in separate ceremonies throughout the year: the APRA Music Awards, Art Music Awards and Screen Music Awards.
