Mirabdulla Abbasov
Mirabdulla Abbasov ( az, Mirabdulla Abbasov; born 27 April 1995) is an Azerbaijani footballer who plays as a forward for Sabail and Azerbaijan national football team. He was selected as the footballer of the year in Azerbaijan in 2018. Career Mirabdulla Abbasov was born in 1995 in Baku, Azerbaijan. His older brother Mirsahib Abbasov is a football player as well. Mirabdulla played in the academy of Neftchi Baku and made his professional debut on 5 May 2015 in a game against Baku. In 2016, he was loaned out to the Latvian Higher League team Daugavpils and Azerbaijani Premier League team Sumgayit. He became a regular player in the main team of Neftchi during the 2017–2018 season and earned 25 caps. At the end of the season, he extended his contract with Neftchi for another year until the end of 2018–2019 season. On 25 June 2019, Abbasov had joined Sabail on a season-long loan deal. Baku

2018–19 UEFA Nations League D
The 2018–19 UEFA Nations League D was the fourth and lowest division of the 2018–19 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the inaugural season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. Format League D consisted of the lowest 16 UEFA members ranked from 40–55, who were split into four groups of four. The top two teams of each group, as well as the best ranked third-place team, were promoted to the 2020–21 UEFA Nations League C. In addition, League D was allocated one of the four remaining UEFA Euro 2020 places. Four teams from League D which had not already qualified for the European Championship finals competed in the play-offs for each division, which were played in October and November 2020. 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games was a multinational, multi-sport event that was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12 to 22 May 2017. Previously the event has been held in Saudi Arabia in 2005 and Indonesia in 2013. The second event, originally scheduled to take place in October 2009 in Iran, was later rescheduled but then cancelled. The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) is responsible for the direction and control of the Islamic Solidarity Games. Bidding In October 2012, the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan submitted its bid for 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games during the 18th Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation meeting held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Baku was awarded the event during the General Assembly of ISSF in 2013, which was also held in Jeddah. 2016 Latvian Higher League
The 2016 Latvian Higher League was the 25th season of top-tier football in Latvia. FK Liepāja were the defending champions. The season began on 11 March 2016 and ended on 5 November 2016; the relegation play-offs took place on 9 and 13 November 2016. Teams FB Gulbene were excluded from the previous season due to suspicion of match-fixing. 2015 Latvian First League winners FC Caramba/Dinamo were promoted to the league and before the season changed their name to Riga FC. Skonto FC did not obtain a license to play in the 2016 Higher League. Skonto appealed the decision, but the appeal was denied.
