Miquel Roger I Casamada
Miquel Roger Casamada (Barcelona, Spain, 16 July 1954 - Vilagrassa, 24 March 2017) was a Spanish Catalan composer and music producer, who began composing in 1977. He founded the Anacrusi record label and produced several records with soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras, including the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia (Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya). Biography He was born in Barcelona in 1954, and began his studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona, Municipal Conservatoire of Barcelona (Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona), and subsequently studied with Josep Soler i Sardà, Josep Soler. Badalona (, , , ) is a municipality to the immediate north east of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It is located on the left bank of the Besòs River and on the Mediterranean Sea, in the Barcelona metropolitan area. By population, it is the third largest city in Catalonia and the twenty-third in Spain. It became a city in 1897. Names The name Badalona comes from ancient Iberian word ''Baitolo'' according to the legend of several bronze coins of the end of the 2nd century BC found in the city. Manresa Conservatoire
Manresa () is the capital of the Comarca of Bages, located in the geographical centre of Catalonia, Spain, and crossed by the river Cardener. It is an industrial area with textile, metallurgical, and glass industries. The houses of Manresa are arranged around the basilica of Santa Maria de la Seu. Saint Ignatius of Loyola stopped to pray in the town on his way back from Montserrat in 1522. He also read in solitude in a cave near the town for a year, which contributed to the formulation of his Spiritual Exercises. As such, the town is a place of pilgrimage for Catholics. It is believed the comarcal name "Bages" comes from a corruption of the Latin "Bacchus" due to the extensive production of wine in the area. The wine was produced from grapes grown mainly in terraced vineyards, and many of these old terraces can be seen today.
