Ministry Of The Interior And Administrative Reconstruction
The Ministry of the Interior () is a government department of Greece. On 15 September 1995, it was merged with the Ministry of the Prime Minister's Office () to form the Ministry of the Interior, Public Administration and Decentralization (). On 19 September 2007, it was merged with the Ministry of Public Order and reverted to its original name. The merger was reversed on 7 October 2009, when the Ministry of the Interior, Decentralization and Electronic Governance () was formed. On 27 June 2011, a separate Ministry of Administrative Reform and Electronic Governance was created, and the Ministry of the Interior again reverted to its original name. On 27 January 2015, the two were merged with the Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection to form the Ministry of the Interior and Administrative Reorganization (). Menios Koutsogiorgas
Agamemnon Koutsogiorgas (; 1922 – 18 April 1991), commonly known as Menios Koutsogiorgas (Μένιος Κουτσόγιωργας), was a Greek lawyer, police officer and politician. As a close associate of Andreas Papandreou, the founder and leader of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK), Koutsogiorgas emerged as one of the most powerful cabinet members during PASOK's 1981–1989 government and was widely regarded as Papandreou's heir apparent. Embroiled in the Koskotas scandal, however, he was brought before a Special Tribunal. During the procedure, he collapsed in the courtroom on 11 April 1991 and died a week later. Early life and professional career Koutsogiorgas was born in May 1922 in the village of Rodini in Achaea. Kostas Skandalidis
Kostas Skandalidis (; born 11 January 1953) is a Greek politician and member of the Greek Parliament for the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) for the Athens A constituency. Life M.P. Kostas Skandalidis was born in 1953 in Kos, Greece. He is the son of the priest, Papa-Giorgis and Christina Skandalidi. He graduated from the National Technical University of Athens with a degree in electrical engineering. Vassilios Skouris
Vassilios Skouris (; born 6 March 1948) is a Greek judge who was President of the European Court of Justice from 2003 to 2015. A European legal scholar, he served briefly in the government of Greece as Minister of the Interior in 1989 and again in 1996. He is professor at the Law School of the Aristotle University and at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. Early years and education Skouris was born on 6 March 1948 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated with a degree in law from the Free University of Berlin in 1970, and was subsequently awarded doctorate in constitutional and administrative law at the University of Hamburg in 1973. In 1978 he was a professor of Public Law at Bielefeld University and in 1982 a professor of Public Law at the University of Thessaloniki. During the period of 1972 to 1977 he was lecturing law at the University of Hamburg.
