The Puntland Ministry of Women Development and Family Affairs () is a government body tasked with developing the Puntland Government public policies on issues affecting women and children and family affairs. The ministry was formed in 2005 as one of the initial measures of President Mohamud Muse Hersi; the first minister was Asha Gelle Dirie, the current minister is Maryan Ahmed Ali since 2024. Maryan Ahmed Ali () is a politician from Puntland, who is a former and current Minister of Women's Development and Family Affairs ( MoWDAFA). She served in the cabinet of former president Abdiweli Gaas. During her term she spoke out against gender-based violence, in particular in relation to maternal and infant mortality. Asha Gelle Dirie (, ; born 1966) is a Somali politician and civil society activist. From 2005 to 2012, she served as the Ministry of Women Development and Family Affairs of the Government of Puntland. Dirie is also the founder and Executive Director of The Asha Gelle Foundation (TAG Foundation).
