Ministry of Municipalities and Housing () is a government ministry in Saudi Arabia that is responsible for the supervision and regulation of List of cities and towns in Saudi Arabia, municipalities in the country. Established in 1975, the current minister is Majid Al-Hogail who was appointed as the acting minister in February 2020. The deputy minister is Dr. Ahmed Jamil Kattan, appointed in 2019. Responsibilities The ministry supervises the administration of municipalities across the country, including cities, towns, and villages. It provides maintenance and development services for all municipalities. The ministry is also responsible for providing basic infrastructure and road development in the country. Majid Al-Hogail
Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail (Arabic: ماجد الحقيل) is the Minister of Municipalities and Housing of Saudi Arabia. He was appointed as the Minister of Housing in July 2015. In addition, he was also the acting Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs since 25 February 2020, before the ministry merged with the Ministry of Housing.
