The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance (, ''Vezârat-e Farhang va Ershâd-e Eslâmi'') ("Ministry of CIG") is a ministry responsible for managing access to media that, in the view of the Iranian government or the ministry, violates Iranian ethics or promotes values alien to Iranian culture. This may include internet censorship. It also manages the alignment of religion and the law of the country. It was formed by combining the Ministry of Culture and Art, and the Ministry of Information and Tourism. The Interim Government of Iran () was the first government established in Iran after the Iranian Revolution. Nasser Minachi
Nasser Minachi (1931–25 January 2014) was an Iranian activist and founder of Hosseiniyeh Ershad, a modernist Islamic institution. He served as the minister of tourism and then the minister of information and publicity in the Interim Government of Iran after the regime change in 1979. He was also the minister of culture in the government during the presidency of Abolhassan Banisadr.
