Ministry Of Foreign Affairs And Expatriates (Syria)
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates () is a Cabinet of Syria, cabinet ministry of Syria, responsible for conducting Foreign relations of Syria, foreign relations of the country. The ministry oversees the expression of Syrian foreign policy, the protection of the interests of the Syrian nations and the interests of Syrian citizens abroad, as well as the representation of the country to other countries and international organizations. The responsibilities of the Ministry of Expatriates (Syria), Ministry of Expatriates were merged on 14 April 2011. The current minister is Asaad al-Shaibani who was appointed on 21 December 2024 following the Fall of the Assad regime, collapse of the Ba'athist Syria, Ba'athist regime. Ministry Of Expatriates (Syria)
The Ministry of Expatriates () was the ministry of Ba'athist Syria that was responsible for communication with Syrian expatriates around the world. It was established in 2002. It merged into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants (Syria), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants on 14 April 2011. In July 2009, it held the first Syrian Expatriate Youth Forum. First Syrian Republic
The First Syrian Republic, officially the Syrian Republic, was formed in 1930 as a component of the Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon, succeeding the State of Syria. A treaty of independence was made in 1936 to grant independence to Syria and end official French rule, but the French parliament refused to accept the treaty. From 1940 to 1941, the Syrian Republic was under the control of Vichy France, and after the Allied invasion in 1941 gradually went on the path towards independence. The proclamation of independence took place in 1944, but only in October 1945 was the Syrian Republic ''de jure'' recognized by the United Nations; it became a ''de facto'' sovereign state on 17 April 1946, with the withdrawal of French troops. Abu al-Faiz ibn Mubarak, popularly known by his pen-name, Faizi (20 September 1547 – 15 October 1595) was a poet and scholar of late medieval India whose ancestors were the ''Malik-ush-Shu'ara'' (poet laureate) of Akbar's Court. The Second Syrian Republic, officially the Syrian Republic from 1950 to 1958 and the Syrian Arab Republic from 1961 to 1963, succeeded the First Syrian Republic that had become ''de facto'' independent in April 1946 from the French Mandate. Nazim al-Qudsi (; 14 February 1906 – 6 February 1998), was a Syrian politician who served as the 14th president of Syria from 14 December 1961 to 8 March 1963. Adil Arslân (1880 – 23 January 1954) () was a Lebanese Druze politician, writer and poet. He was the older brother of the two princes Shakib Arslan and Nasib Arslan. He was a deputy for Lebanon in the Ottoman Parliament, Deputy Governor General in Syria (1918-1919) and adviser to King Faisal of Iraq and Syria (1919-1920). Muhsin al-Barazi (; 1904 – 14 August 1949) was a Syrian lawyer, academic and politician. He served a short term as a Prime Minister of Syria in 1949 and was executed after a coup d'état overthrew his government. Early life Al-Barazi, born in Hama. Jamil Mardam Bey (; ; 1895–1960), was a Syrian politician. He was born in Damascus to a prominent aristocratic family of Turkish origins. He is a descendant of the Ottoman general, statesman and Grand Vizier Lala Mustafa Pasha and the penultimate Mamluk ruler Qansuh al Ghuri.
