The Ministry of Defence () is a department of the Council of Ministers (Albania), Albanian Government, in charge of the formation and implementation of national security and ordering, coordinating and carrying out the general guidelines of the Cabinet of Albania, Cabinet about the defence policy, and is the headquarters of the Albanian Armed Forces, Military of Albania. It is Albania's ministry of defence. Council Of Ministers (Albania)
The Council of Ministers () is the principal executive organ of the Albanian government. The Council is led by the Prime Minister of Albania and includes 17 other ministers, nominated by the Prime Minister and confirmed by the Parliament of Albania, Albanian parliament. The Council is responsible for carrying out both foreign and domestic policies. It directs and controls the activities of the ministries its members lead as well as other executive state bodies. The Prime Minister is nominated by the President of Albania based on the proposal of the majority party or coalition in the parliament. Beqir Balluku
Beqir Balluku (14 February 1917 – 5 November 1975) was an Albanian politician, military leader, and Minister of Defense of Albania. Balluku assisted Enver Hoxha in carrying out the 1956 purge within the Party of Labour. However, in 1974, Balluku himself, along with a group of other government members was accused by Hoxha of an attempted coup d'état against the People's Republic of Albania. Mustafa Aranitasi (12 April 1872 – 26 April 1961) was an Albanian military commander and politician who served as Minister of War on two separate terms during the 1920s. A Zog loyalist, he played an important role in the reformation of the Albanian Army during this time period. Ismail Haki Tatzati
Ismail Haki Tatzati (1878 – 3 August 1945) an Albanian military commander and politician who served as Minister of War. He later became part of Balli Kombëtar. Biography He was born in 1878 in Delvinë. In 1894–1897 he attended the Gymnasium of Manastir, in 1897–1900 he attended and graduated from the Military Academy of Istanbul. In 1900–1905 he served as an officer in Serres in the Vilayet of Thessaloniki and then until 1906 he went to serve in Istanbul. Zija Dibra
Zija Dibra was an Ottoman and later Albanian officer and politician, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of War of Albania. Biography He was born in 1890 in the city of Debar in Western Macedonia. He graduated from the Istanbul Military Academy and pursued a career in the Ottoman Army. He participated in the Young Turk movement. He returned to Albania and on March 28, 1921, he became Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of Pandeli Evangjeli. Ali Riza Kolonja (1880–1930) was an Albanian army general, diplomat and politician who served as Minister of War in the Delvina Government. Biography Ali Riza Kolonja was born on 1880 in the region of Kolonjë, present day south-eastern Albania, then part of the Ottoman Empire. Isuf Dibra (Dohoshisht ? – Tirana, March 19, 1927) was an Albanian politician who served as Minister of War in the Toptani Government. Biography Isuf Dibra was born in the village of Dohoshisht, present day Dibër County. Little information is known about his life, including the exact year of his birth.
