Ministry For Gozo
The Ministry for Gozo () is the ministry of the Government of Malta with responsibility for the island of Gozo. It was established in 1987. On 6 January 2024, during the reshuffle of the cabinet, the ministry was renamed to the Ministry for Gozo and Planning. Gozo ( ), known in classical antiquity, antiquity as Gaulos, is an island in the Malta#The Maltese archipelago, Maltese archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. Clint Camilleri (born 24 February 1988) is a Maltese politician, architect and civil engineer, currently serving as Minister for Gozo in the Prime Minister Robert Abela's cabinet since 2020. Among the youngest members of cabinet, Camilleri previously served as a Parliamentary Secretary and a Minister in former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat's cabinet. Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament and Minister, he was the Mayor of Qala in 2017. Family and education Clint Camilleri was born on 24 February 1988, to Anton Camilleri and Marlene née Gauci. Anton Tabone
Anton Tabone (born 1937) is a Maltese politician. Appointed the first Minister for Gozo Affairs in 1987 he was re-appointed in the same portfolio in 1992, a post he held up to 1996. Between 1998 and 2008 he served as Speaker of the House of Representatives. Whilst Minister for Gozo he promoted the regional aspect of the island in the national context and within the Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR), wherein Gozo participates as a full Member. As Speaker of the House he promoted Malta’s initiative to establish a Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and the setting up of its Secretariat in Malta. Justyne Caruana is a Maltese lawyer and politician who served as the Minister for Gozo from 2017 to 2020 and Minister for Education from 2020 to 2021.
