The minister of transport ( Malay: ''Menteri Pengangkutan'', Jawi: ), also informally known as the transport minister, is a minister in the Government of Malaysia, with overall responsibility for the functions and objectives of the Ministry of Transport. The incumbent is a member of the Cabinet of Malaysia. Sardon Jubir
Sardon bin Jubir (, ; 19 March 1917 – 14 December 1985) was a Malaysian politician who had served as the 4th Governor of Penang from 1975 to 1981. Prior to his governorship, he had served as Minister of Health, Minister of Works and Communications and was the 3rd UMNO Youth Chief. Early life and education Sardon was born in Rengit, Batu Pahat, Johor on 19 March 1917. His father, Haji Jubir bin Haji Mohd Amin was a plantation owner and a ''kathi'' in Singapore. Sardon was educated at Victoria Bridge School and Raffles Institution in Singapore. At Raffles, he formed a Malay literary association with friends including Aziz Ishak, Abdul Hamid Jumat, and Ahmad Ibrahim and contributed articles on the Malays and their plight to Warta Malaya, a leading Malay newspaper in Singapore. Abdul Rahman Talib
Abdul Rahman bin Talib (1916–1968) was a former minister of Malaysia. He served as minister of transport, health and education. In 1965, opposition MP DR Seenivasagam made an allegation of corruption against Abdul Rahman Talib in Parliament, and repeated it in front of a huge crowd, including Rahman, at the Chinese Assembly Hall. Rahman sued DR for defamation but lost the case and ended up resigning as a minister. Tunku Abdul Rahman (8 February 19036 December 1990), commonly referred to as Tunku, was a Malaysian statesman who served as prime minister of Malaysia from 1957 to 1970.
