David John Howard Thompson (25 December 1961 – 23 October 2010) was the sixth prime minister of Barbados from 15 January 2008 until his death from pancreatic cancer on 23 October 2010. Owen Seymour Arthur (17 October 194927 July 2020) was a Barbados, Barbadian politician who served as the fifth prime minister of Barbados from 6 September 1994 to 15 January 2008. He is the longest-serving Barbadian prime minister to date.
