The Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation ( Nepali: ऊर्जा, जलस्रोत तथा सिँचाइ मन्त्री) is the head of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. One of the senior-most officers in the Federal Cabinet, the minister is responsible for formulating and promoting policies related to water resources, energy and irrigation in the country. The Minister is assisted by the Minister of State for Water Resources, Energy, and Irrigation and the junior Deputy Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. The current minister is Deepak Khadka who took office on 15 July 2024. Emblem Of Nepal
The national emblem of Nepal () is the primary symbol used by the Government of Nepal and its agencies. Officially adopted on 28 May 2008, the emblem was later modified in 2020 to incorporate a revised political map of Nepal. The updated design includes the country's territorial claims over the Kalapani territory, Lipulekh Pass, and Limpiyadhura, which were added to Nepal’s official map. This change was reflected in the emblem on 13 June 2020. The emblem features Mount Everest, green hills symbolizing the hilly regions, and the yellow background representing the fertile Terai plains. It also includes the hands of a man and a woman joined together, symbolizing gender equality, with a wreath of rhododendron—the national flower—around it. The Nepal Communist Party, abbreviated NCP (, ) was a communist party in Nepal that existed from 2018 to 2021. It was founded on 17 May 2018, from the unification of two Left-wing politics, leftist parties, Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre). Shakti Bahadur Basnet (; born 11 May 1969) is a Nepalese politician and former Minister of Forest and Environment. He is a Central Committee Member of Nepal Communist Party. Rajendra Prasad Lingden is a Nepali politician and former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal. He also served as the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
