Margaret Quirk
Margaret Mary Quirk (born 26 June 1957) is an Australian politician who was a Labor Party member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2025. She served as a minister in the governments of Geoff Gallop and Alan Carpenter between 2005 and 2008. Early life Quirk was born in Adelaide, South Australia, to Helen Marian Sykes and James Patrick Quirk. During her childhood, she lived for periods in Perth, Western Australia, and Oxford, England, but eventually returned to Adelaide, graduating from Unley High School. Quirk went on to study law at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1975. She moved to Canberra after graduation, initially working for the administrative review section of the federal government's Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs. David Black (historian)
David William Black, (4 July 1936 – 23 November 2024) was an Australian historian. He lectured and wrote extensively on Australian and Western Australian history, especially political history. He was a professor in history and politics in the School of Social Sciences and Asian Languages at Curtin University of Technology until his retirement in 2002, and was then professor emeritus. He was Chairperson of the Parliamentary History Advisory Committee, and a Parliamentary Fellow (History). He has had numerous publications and considerable media exposure in regard to parliamentary history in Western Australia. Black was appointed Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2010 Australia Day Honours for "service to education and to the social sciences, particularly through the promotion and preservation of the political and parliamentary history of Western Australia". Don Punch
Donald Thomas Punch (born 31 August 1956) is an Australian politician. He has been a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since the 2017 state election, representing Bunbury. Punch studied psychology and social work at the University of Western Australia later completing an MBA at Edith Cowan University. He also holds a Master Class 5 and is a Private Pilot. He has worked throughout regional Western Australia as a social worker and later as a Senior Executive in the public sector. He became CEO of the South West Development Commission in 1998, serving until he resigned in 2016 upon his preselection as the Labor candidate for Bunbury. Reece Raymond Whitby (born 29 May 1964) is an Australian politician. He has been a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since the 2017 state election, representing Baldivis. Shortly after the 2017 election, Whitby was appointed by Premier of Western Australia Mark McGowan as Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer and Minister for Energy and Finance, and as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Environment and Disability Services. Paul Papalia CSC (born 12 July 1962) is an Australian politician. He has been a Labor Party member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since February 2007. He is the current member for Secret Harbour. Papalia has previously been the member for Peel and Warnbro before their abolition as electorates.
