Minister For Nordic Cooperation (Finland)
The Minister for Nordic Cooperation ( fi, pohjoismaisen yhteistyön ministeri, sv, minister för nordiskt samarbete) is one of the Finnish Government's ministerial positions. The minister is often one of the leading positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. However, in the current Orpo Cabinet, there is no separate minister post for Nordic Cooperation. The portfoilo is instead handled by Minister of Education Anna-Maja Henriksson of the Swedish People's Party. Ministry For Foreign Affairs (Finland)
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs (MFA) is a ministry in the Finnish Government and is responsible for preparing and implementing the government's foreign policy. Organisation The ministry in 2017 has a total budget of 1.079 billion euros, of which 675 million will be spent on development cooperation and 248 million euros on the ministry's operating expenses. Upkeep of crisis management troops will cost 50 million euros and civilian personnel 15 million. It employs 1,420 people (of whom approximately 74% are women) as well as 980 locally hired personnel and maintains 89 overseas offices housing foreign missions. Orpo Cabinet
The Orpo Cabinet is the 77th government of Finland. It was formed following the 2023 Finnish parliamentary election and succeeds the Marin Cabinet led by the Social Democrats and was formally appointed by President Sauli Niinistö on 20 June 2023. The cabinet is headed by Petteri Orpo and is a coalition between the National Coalition Party, Finns Party, the Swedish People's Party, and the Christian Democrats. Anna-Maja Henriksson
Anna-Maja Kristina Henriksson (née Forss; born 7 January 1964) is a Swedish-speaking Finnish politician. She has served as Finland's Minister of Justice, in Jyrki Katainen's cabinet and Alexander Stubb's cabinet from 2011 to 2015, Antti Rinne's cabinet from June to December 2019 and currently in Sanna Marin's cabinet since December 2019. She has been a member of the Parliament of Finland since 2007, vice-chairperson of the Swedish People's Party of Finland 2010–2016 and chairperson of the Swedish Parliamentary Group 2015–2016. On 12 June 2016, Henriksson was elected as the leader of the Swedish People's Party of Finland becoming the first female leader for the party. The Swedish People's Party of Finland ( sv, Svenska folkpartiet i Finland (SFP); fi, Suomen ruotsalainen kansanpuolue (RKP)) is a political party in Finland aiming to represent the interests of the minority Swedish-speaking population of Finland.
