The Minister for Child Poverty Reduction is a minister in the New Zealand Government responsible for overseeing and executing the Government's child poverty reduction strategy. The position was created upon the formation of the Sixth Labour Government and is currently held by Louise Upston. Christopher Mark Luxon (; born 19 July 1970) is a New Zealand politician and former business executive who has served as the 42nd prime minister of New Zealand since 2023 and as leader of the National Party since 2021. Louise Claire Upston (née McGill, born 14 March 1971) is a New Zealand politician. She was elected as a Member of the New Zealand House of Representatives for Taupō, representing the National Party, in the 2008 general election.
