Mimmy Gondwe
Mimmy Martha Gondwe (born 7 February 1977) is a South African politician serving as the Shadow Minister of Public Enterprises since 2023. A member of the Democratic Alliance, Gondwe was Shadow Deputy Minister of State Security from 2019 to 2020 and the Shadow Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration between 2020 and 2023. She has been a Member of Parliament (MP) in the National Assembly since May 2019. Education Gondwe holds a Bachelor of Arts (in Political Philosophy) from the University of Cape Town; a Bachelor of Laws from Rhodes University; a Masters of Laws (in Mercantile Law) from the University of Stellenbosch; and a Doctorate of Laws (in Mercantile Law) from the University of Stellenbosch. The Parliament of the Republic of South Africa is South Africa's legislature; under the present Constitution of South Africa, the bicameral Parliament comprises a National Assembly and a National Council of Provinces. The Democratic Alliance (, DA) is a South African list of political parties in South Africa, political party and the official opposition to the ruling African National Congress (ANC). Dianne Kohler-Barnard
Dianne Kohler Barnard is a South African politician and former journalist, and a Member of Parliament for the Democratic Alliance (DA). In October 2015, she was expelled from the party by the DA Federal Executive. In December 2015, the decision was lifted on appeal to the DA's Federal Legal Commission. She was born in Port Elizabeth, and currently resides in KwaZulu-Natal, where she represents the Durban South constituency. 2019 South African General Election
General elections were held in South Africa on 8 May 2019 to elect a new President, National Assembly and provincial legislatures in each province. These were the sixth elections held since the end of apartheid in 1994 and determined who would become the next President of South Africa. Incumbent President Cyril Ramaphosa led the ruling African National Congress, with the party attempting to retain its majority status and secure Ramaphosa a full term in office as president; his predecessor, Jacob Zuma, resigned from office on 14 February 2018.
