Millcreek station is a light rail station in South Salt Lake, Utah, United States serviced by the Blue Line and the Red Line of Utah Transit Authority's TRAX light rail system. The Blue Line provides service from Downtown Salt Lake City to Draper. The Red Line provides service from the University of Utah to the Daybreak community of South Jordan. Description The station is located at 210 West 3300 South ( SR-171) and is easily accessed from 3300 South (and the nearby I-15/3300 South interchange) via 230 West (Washington Street). State Route 171 (SR-171) is a state highway in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area in northern Utah that runs from SR-111 in Magna in the west side of the city to Interstate 215 in the city of Millcreek in the eastern part valley. In its sixteen-mile span, the route is named 3500 South and 3300 South. South Jordan is a city in south central Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, south of Salt Lake City. Part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, the city lies in the Salt Lake Valley along the banks of the Jordan River between the Oquirrh Mountains and the Wasatch Mountains. Daybreak is a master-planned community of over 4,000 acres (16 km²) located in South Jordan, Utah at the site of Bingham Canyon Mine. Daybreak was originally owned by Kennecott Land. As of 2024, it was being developed by the Larry H. Miller Company. Description and history Daybreak was originally the site of the Bingham Canyon Mine, where copper, gold, silver, and other minerals were extracted. Kennecott Land carried out an accelerated clean-up of the former mine and its surroundings. The Environmental Protection Agency praised the project and has since given the land a clean bill of health.In 2021, the undeveloped portion of the community, comprising 1,300 acres, was sold to Larry H. Miller Real Estate. It is anticipated that the construction and expansion of the community will progress over about twenty years. Draper is a city in Salt Lake and Utah counties in the U.S. state of Utah, about south of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front. South Salt Lake, Utah
South Salt Lake is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah and a core inner suburb of Salt Lake City proper, and thus part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The population was 26,777 at the 2020 census. History Jesse Fox Jr. developed the area South Salt Lake referred to as Central Park around 1890. Mr. Fox chose the name after visiting New York and seeing Central Park there. He was impressed by the park and its design within an urban environment.
