Midlands 1 West
Regional 2 Midlands West is an English English rugby union system, level 6 rugby union league for rugby clubs in the western region of the The Midlands, Midlands. It includes sides from Birmingham, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, the West Midlands (county), West Midlands, Worcestershire and occasionally Cheshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Oxfordshire. When this division began in 1987 it was known as Midlands 2 West, and has been restructured several times, most notably as a single division known as Midlands 2 between 1992 and 2000. It has been called Regional 2 Midlands West since 2022–23. The 2024-25 champions are Newent. 2025-26 Departing were Newent, promoted to Regional 1 Midlands while Ledbury (11th) and Whitchurch RFC, Whitchurch (12th) were relegated. Regional 1 Midlands
Regional 1 Midlands (until 2021–22 known as Midlands Premier and up until 2016–17 known as National League 3 Midlands) is a level five semi-professional league in the English rugby union system. It is one of six leagues at this level. When this division began in 1987 it was known as Midlands Division 1. The format of the league was changed at the beginning of the 2009–10 season following a reorganisation by the Rugby Football Union (RFU), and the name change from National League 3 to Premier was introduced for the 2017–18 season by the RFU in order to lessen confusion for what is a series of regional leagues. Malvern RFC
Malvern Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in the town of Malvern, Worcestershire, England. They currently play in Regional 2 West Midlands, a tier 6 league in the English rugby union system – after being relegated from Midlands 1 West at the end of the 2018–19 season. The club has three senior sides; 1st XV, Development XV, and 3rd XV. It also boasts of an academy, the Ian Budd Academy, named after the late Ian Budd, the founder of the academy. The club also has junior and mini sides from under-7s all the way up to under-16s, before these players graduate into the Academy, and often into the senior sides from there. Ludlow ( ) is a market town and civil parish in Shropshire (district), Shropshire, England. Counties 1 Midlands West (South) (formerly Midlands 2 West (South)) is a level seven English rugby union league and level three of the Midlands League, made up of teams from the southern part of the West Midlands region including Herefordshire, parts of Birmingham and the West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, with home and away matches played throughout the season. When this division began in 1992 it was known as Midlands West 1, until it was split into two regional divisions called Midlands 3 West (North) and Midlands 3 West (South) ahead of the 2000–01 season. Kingsland, Herefordshire
Kingsland is a small village and civil parish in the English county of Herefordshire, north-west of Leominster. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 986. The village church was built during the reign of Edward I (1239–1307) by Edward, Lord Mortimer and is dedicated to St Michael. Luctonians
Luctonians Sports Club is an English sports club based in Kingsland, Herefordshire. The rugby union team currently plays in National League 2 West, the fourth tier of the English rugby union system, following their promotion from the Midlands Premier at the end of the 2018–19 season via the play-offs. The club runs four senior sides and a full range of junior sides. Apart from rugby, Luctonians hosts the practice of cricket, golf, cycling, having also a netball, rounders, ladies touch and ladies contact section for women.
