Lawrence Michael Brown Royal Society, FRS (born 1936) is a Canadian physicist, known for his pioneering work on the application of transmission electron microscopy to metals, diamond, Nuclear physics, nuclear materials and semiconductors. He has spent much of his career at the Cavendish Laboratory, which he joined in 1960. He played an important role in establishing the SuperSTEM facility at Daresbury Laboratory. Michael John Albert Brown (19 August 1937 – 2 April 2015), commonly known as Mick Brown, was a New Zealand judge. In 1980, he became the first Māori to be appointed as a District Court judge, and he was later the first principal Youth Court judge. Early life and family Born in the Far North in 1937, Brown affiliated to Ngāti Kahu, Te Aupōuri, Te Rarawa and Ngāpuhi. His father was elderly and his mother died in Auckland from tuberculosis when Brown was one year old. He was subsequently fostered by the Flood family in Mount Albert. Brown's knee was affected by tuberculosis, and he spent three years between 1948 and 1951 at the Wilson School for disabled children in Takapuna, where he was friends with Bruce McLaren. Michael John Brown (born 11 July 1939) is an English retired football player and coach. Career Brown was born in Walsall. A full-back, he began his career as a for Hull City, before moving on to Lincoln City. Soon after, Brown moved on to Cambridge City. Soon after, he was offered a full-time coaching position at Oxford United. After six years as a coach, and following the departure of Gerry Summers to Gillingham, Brown was offered the manager's job at Oxford, a position he held for a further four years. Despite having limited success with the Us, Brown impressed enough to be offered a job at West Bromwich Albion as Ron Atkinson's assistant. When Atkinson was signed by Manchester United in 1981, he was followed by Brown soon after. The two had a successful spell together at Old Trafford, winning two FA Cups in 1983 and 1985, as well as reaching the final of the League Cup in 1983. Mick Brown (born 1950 in London) is a British journalist who has written for several British newspapers, including ''The Guardian'' and ''The Sunday Times'' and for international publications. Michael J. Brown (born September 8, 1956), a.k.a. "Wild" Mick Brown, is an American drummer who has played in the rock bands Dokken, Ted Nugent, Lynch Mob, and Xciter. Early life Brown was born in San Mateo County, California, on September 8, 1956, and began playing drums at age eight when on his birthday he took his first drum lesson from Mickey Hart (who three years later joined The Grateful Dead). Career Dokken Brown joined Dokken in 1981. He replaced Gary Holland, who left Dokken to join Dante Fox and later Great White. Before that, Brown played drums in The Boyz (1975–1977) and then in Xciter (1977–1981). Both bands also featured future Dokken bandmate George Lynch. Michael Anthony Brown (born 8 February 1968) is an English former professional association football, footballer. Born in Birmingham, Brown played for several clubs, including Shrewsbury Town F.C., Shrewsbury Town, Bolton Wanderers F.C., Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End F.C., Preston North End. The Mission (known as The Mission UK in the United States) are an English gothic rock band formed in 1986. Initially known as The Sisterhood, the band was started by frontman Wayne Hussey and bassist Craig Adams (both from The Sisters of Mercy), soon adding drummer Mick Brown ( Red Lorry Yellow Lorry) and guitarist Simon Hinkler ( Artery and Pulp). Pat And Mick
Pat and Mick were a British pop duo, consisting of popular radio personalities Pat Sharp and Mick Brown, both of whom are from London. They released a charity single, a cover version, each year from 1988 to 1993, achieving a top-10 hit with their 1989 single "I Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet". The royalties from their record sales were donated to Capital FM's 'Help A London Child' charity. All their singles were produced by Stock Aitken & Waterman except "Shake Your Groove Thing" and "Hot Hot Hot", both of which were produced by Stock & Waterman. The relationship began when Brown joked on air with producer Pete Waterman about turning the DJs into pop stars. In 1993, they released their only album, ''Don't Stop Dancin'', which compiled all their singles and B-sides on a continuous mix.
