Michael Smith (born 18 September 1990) is an English professional darts player. Nicknamed "Bully Boy", he competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked PDC Order of Merit, world number twenty; he was ranked world number one during the 2023 season. He is a former PDC World Darts Championship, PDC World Champion, having won the 2023 PDC World Darts Championship, 2023 World Championship after hitting a nine-dart finish in the final. He won his first PDC major title at the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts, 2022 Grand Slam after previously finishing as the runner-up in eight major singles finals, including the PDC World Darts Championship, World Championship in 2019 PDC World Darts Championship, 2019 and 2022 PDC World Darts Championship, 2022. The 2014 European Darts Trophy was the eighth of eight PDC European Tour events on the 2014 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Kohlrabizirkus in Leipzig, Germany, between 19–21 September 2014. It featured a field of 48 players and £100,000 in prize money, with £20,000 going to the winner.
