	Mike Reese (Pennsylvania Politician) Michael P. Reese (March 7, 1978 – January 2, 2021) was an American politician. A Republican, he served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 until his death in 2021. Reese was secretary of the Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus for the 2019–2020 session, and had been elected to serve as caucus chairman in 2021. Career Prior to his election to the House, Reese worked in the admissions office of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. He also worked at Westmoreland County Community College, serving as a faculty member of the business division. Just before his first term as a state representative, Reese was the Westmoreland County Assistant Director of Financial Administration. He served as secretary of the Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus for the 2019–2020 session and had been elected to serve as caucus chairman in 2021 prior to his death. 	Mike Reese (sheriff) Michael Reese is an American law enforcement officer who currently serves as Director of the Oregon Department of Corrections. He previously served as the 40th sheriff of Multnomah County, Oregon (2016–2022), and Chief of the Portland Police Bureau. Early life and education Reese was born in Portland, Oregon and attended Roosevelt High School in North Portland. He went to Mt. Hood Community College and Portland State University where he received his BS in Psychology and his Masters of Public Administration. Career Reese started his career in 1989 as a deputy sheriff with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office. He transferred to the Portland Police Bureau in 1994, serving as an officer, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, commander and ultimately chief of police, retiring in 2015.
