Michael Lent (writer And Producer)
Michael Lent is a mixed media writer and producer based in Los Angeles. He is best known as the co-writer of ''On Thin Ice'', the memoirs of Hugh Rowland, one of the stars of the long-running series Ice Road Truckers. Career Michael Lent received a BA in American Studies from Hamilton College, and an MFA in Screenwriting and Film from the University of Miami. Lent began his career interning in the On-Air Promotions Department at MTV Networks where he worked with producers Ted Demme, Mark Pellington, John Payson, and Abby Terkuhle. From 1997-2007, he was a featured columnist and contributing editor for ''Creative Screenwriting Magazine''. Betsy Baker is an American actress, best known as playing Linda in the film ''The Evil Dead'' (1981). ''Ice Road Truckers'' (commercially abbreviated ''IRT'') is a reality television series that premiered on History Channel, on June 17, 2007. It features the activities of drivers who operate trucks on seasonal routes crossing frozen lakes and rivers, in remote Arctic territories in Canada and Alaska. Seasons three to six also featured Alaska's improved but still remote Dalton Highway, which is mainly snow-covered solid ground. The newest seasons are mainly focused on Manitoba's winter roads.
