Mexican National Cruiserweight Championship
The Mexican National Cruiserweight Championship (''Campeonato Nacional Crucero'' in Spanish) is a national Mexican singles professional wrestling championship controlled by ''Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F.'' (''Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission''). From its establishment in 1983, no one promotion promoted the championship but was shared between several Mexican promotions, and not exclusively by Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL). In the mid-1990s AAA gained primary booking control of the championship. Being a professional wrestling championship, it was not won legitimately but via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline. La Parka Jr
Jesús Alfonso Huerta Escoboza (January 4, 1966 January 11, 2020), better known as La Parka, was a Mexican ''Lucha libre, luchador wrestling mask, enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestling, professional wrestler, who worked for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, AAA from the mid-1990s until 2019. On January 11, 2020, Huerta died from complications arising from injuries that he sustained from a botched move during an October 2019 match. Escoboza was not the first wrestler to use the ring name "La Parka", La Parka, Adolfo Tapia was the original La Parka but did not own either the name or the character. The Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) was a Mexican ''Lucha Libre'' or professional wrestling promotion based in Naucalpan, Mexico State that operated from 1975 until 1995. The name of the actual promotion was Promociones Mora y Asociados and later Lucha Libre Internacional (LLI) ("International wrestling") but outside of Mexico it is generally referred to as the UWA as it was the name of the fictional international sanctioning body that in storyline terms oversaw all championships promoted by LLI. NWA World Welterweight Championship
The NWA World Welterweight Championship () is an inactive professional wrestling championship governed by the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and most recently promoted by NWA Mexico. The championship was originally created in 1946 by the Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). As with all professional wrestling championships, matches for the NWA World Welterweight Championship were not won or lost competitively but by a pre-planned ending to a match, with the outcome determined by the CMLL bookers and match makers. CMLL controlled the championship from 1946 until 1996 and again from 2007 until 2010. From 1996 until 2007 the championship was promoted mainly in Japan, initially as one of eight championships that made up the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) J-Crown Championship. Mephisto (born December 10, 1968) is the ring name of a Mexico, Mexican ''lucha libre, luchador wrestling mask, enmascarado'', or masked Professional wrestling, professional wrestler and currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). His real name is not a matter of official record as he is an ''enmascarado'', which by ''lucha libre'' traditions means that his personal life is kept secret from the general public. The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship () is a professional wrestling championship contested for in the Mexican lucha libre promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). The championship cannot be competed for by anyone who is over the Cruiserweight division weight limit of . Traditionally this division is labelled as the "Junior Heavyweight" division in Mexico while "Cruiserweight" is a term more used in the United States or Canada. The championship was originally named the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. but had the word "world" added to the name after El Hijo del Fantasma won a match on August 17, 2014, that unified the championship with the AAA Fusión Championship.
