Metanoia is a Chilean Christian hardcore band, and they primarily play hardcore punk, punk rock, and skate punk. They come from Temuco, Chile. The band started making music in 2012, and their members are lead vocalist and bassist, Benjamin Lopez, lead guitarist and background vocalist , Diego Rivera, and rhythm guitarist, Claudio Bolivar, and drummer, Cristobal Lopez. The band released, ''Promise of Restoration'', an independently-made extended play, in 2012. Their first studio album, ''Retroceder Nunca'', was released in 2012 by Thumper Punk Records. Temuco
Temuco () is a city and commune, capital of the Cautín Province and of the Araucanía Region in southern Chile. The city is located south of Santiago. The city grew out from a fort of the same name established in 1881 during Chile's invasion of Araucanía. Temuco lies in the middle of the historic Araucanía, a traditional land of the indigenous Mapuche. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. Skate Punk
Skate punk (also known as skatecore and skate rock) is a skater subculture and punk rock subgenre that developed in the 1980s. Originally a form of hardcore punk that had been closely associated with skate culture, skate punk evolved into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s similar to pop punk. Since then, it has predominately featured fast tempos, lead guitar playing (including guitar riffs and guitar solos), fast drumming, and singing (sometimes including vocal harmonies).
