Merseburg Station
Merseburg Hauptbahnhof is the main station of the town of Merseburg in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It is located on the Halle–Bebra railway (Thuringian Railway) and Deutsche Bahn assigns it to German railway station categories, category 4. Merseburg is located in the tariff area of the ''Mitteldeutscher Verkehrsverbund'' (central Germany transport association). History Merseburg station was opened on 20 June 1846 when Merseburg was connected to the Halle (Saale) Hauptbahnhof, Halle (Saale) – Weißenfels railway. Merseburg () is a town in central Germany in southern Saxony-Anhalt, situated on the river Saale, and approximately 14 km south of Halle (Saale) and 30 km west of Leipzig. Bebra Station
Bebra station is a railway station on the German passenger and freight rail network in the northern Hesse town of Bebra. It is a railway junction as well as an intercity stop on the Dortmund–Berlin–Stralsund route. The station was opened in 1846 and quickly became a major transport hub. Bebra then developed into a classic railway town. History Bebra became part of the German railway network on 29 August 1848, with commissioning of the first section of the Frederick William Northern Railway to Guxhagen. On 25 September, the line was extended to Gerstungen. On the same day the Thuringian line to Halle was also extended to Bebra. Weißenfels Station
Weißenfels station is the station of Weißenfels in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It lies at the junction of the Halle–Bebra and the Weißenfels–Zeitz railways. Location The station is located at line-kilometre 32.0 of the Halle–Bebra railway (measured from Halle). In addition, it is the starting point of a line to Zeitz (km 0.0). It lies some distance north of the town centre and near the bank of the Saale. It borders the streets of ''Am Güterbahnhof'' ("at the freight yard") and ''Bahnhofstraße'' ("station street"). TRAXX
Alstom Traxx (sold as Bombardier TRAXX before 2021) is a modular product platform of mainline diesel-electric and electric locomotives. It was produced originally by Bombardier Transportation and later Alstom, and was built in both freight and passenger variants. The first version was a dual-voltage AC locomotive built for German railways from the year 2000. Later types included DC versions, as well as quadruple-voltage machines, able to operate on all four electrification schemes commonly used in Europe. The family was expanded in 2006 to include diesel-powered versions. Elements common to all variants include steel bodyshells, two bogies with two powered axles each, three-phase asynchronous induction motors, cooling exhausts on the roof edges, and wheel disc brakes. In Germany, Luxembourg and Austria, the Regional-Express (; RE, or in Austria: REX) is a type of regional train. It is similar to a semi-fast train, with a top speed of and an average speed of about as it calls at fewer stations than ''Regionalbahn'' (in Austria: '' Regionalzug'') or S-Bahn trains, but stops more often than ''Intercity'' or ''Intercity Express'' services. Abellio Deutschland is a public transit operator in Germany operating bus and rail networks. Headquartered in Berlin, it is a subsidiary of the Dutch state-owned Abellio (transport company), Abellio. The ''Regionalbahn'' (; lit. Regional train; abbreviated ''RB'') is a train categories in Europe, type of Regional rail, local passenger train (stopping train) in Germany. It is similar to the Regionalzug (R) and Regio (Swiss railway train), Regio (R) train categories in neighboring Austria and Switzerland, respectively. Bombardier Talent 2
The Talent 2 is an electric multiple unit manufactured by Bombardier Transportation. The train began production in 2008 and first entered service with Deutsche Bahn in 2011. Despite having the same name as the original Talent, designed by Waggonfabrik Talbot and later acquired by Bombardier, for the most part it does not share technical details with that train, except for the rounded sides and doorways. Konstanz station () is the largest passenger station in the German city of Konstanz (Constance). It is served by regional and long-distance services operated by Deutsche Bahn and Swiss Federal Railways. It is the end of the High Rhine Railway and the beginning of the Lake Line. History The station was opened to traffic 15 June 1863 with the opening of the last section of the Upper Rhine Railway between Waldshut and Konstanz by the Grand Duchy of Baden State Railway. Stralsund Hauptbahnhof is the main station in Western Pomerania and the main station for railway lines running to Hamburg, Bergen auf Rügen and Berlin in the German Hanseatic city of Stralsund. It is owned and operated by Deutsche Bahn. Station Construction of the present-day station near the centre of the city started on 9 November 1903 and it was inaugurated on 28 March 1905. Its predecessor was a wooden building constructed in 1863 in the suburb of ''Tribseer Vorstadt''. The construction of this station and the railway to Stralsund had been promoted by the merchants and entrepreneurs of Stralsund since 1844. InterRegio
The InterRegio, often shortened to IR, is a train categories in Europe, train category for mainly domestic train services in use in some European countries, with Swiss Federal Railways operating the most dense network. InterRegio trains are semi-fast long-distance trains with more stops and usually lower prices than more upscale long-distance trains such as the InterCity (IC). Denmark The InterRegio system was also introduced to the Danish railways in the early 1990s and became an alternative to the InterCity services, with no seat reservation required. However, unlike other countries, InterRegio trains in Denmark only operates on Fridays and Sundays, to support the heavy flow of passengers that travel on those days.
