Magna Carta
(Medieval Latin for "Great Charter"), sometimes spelled Magna Charta, is a royal charter of rights agreed to by King John of England at Runnymede, near Windsor, on 15 June 1215. First drafted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Cardinal Stephen Langton, to make peace between the unpopular king and a group of rebel barons who demanded that the King confirm the Charter of Liberties, it promised the protection of church rights, protection for the barons from illegal imprisonment, access to swift and impartial justice, and limitations on feudal payments to the Crown, to be implemented through a council of 25 barons. Neither side stood by their commitments, and the charter was annulled by Pope Innocent III, leading to the First Barons' War. Runnymede
Runnymede is a water-meadow alongside the River Thames in the English county of Surrey, bordering Berkshire and just over west of central London. It is notable for its association with the sealing of Magna Carta, and as a consequence is, with its adjoining hillside, the site of memorials. Aminadav () is a moshav in central Israel. Located southwest of Jerusalem near Yad Kennedy, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Yehuda Regional Council. In it had a population of . Etymology The name "Aminadav" is a combination of two Hebrew words; "Ami"- my nation, and "Nadav"- generous, giving, or volunteering; thus Aminadav translates "a generous people" and the moshav is named after the biblical figure Aminadav, who, according to the Book of Ruth (4: 18-22), was one of King David's ancestors. Yad Kennedy
Yad Kennedy (), located in the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council, Mateh Yehuda Region near Jerusalem, is a memorial to John F. Kennedy, the List of Presidents of the United States, 35th President of the United States, who was Assassination of John F. Kennedy, assassinated in Dallas, Texas in 1963. The memorial is shaped like the stump of a felled tree, symbolizing a life cut short. Inside is a bronze relief of Kennedy, with an eternal flame burning in the center.
