Mehtab Singh (footballer)
Mehtab Singh ( pa, ਮਹਿਤਾਬ ਸਿੰਘ; born 5 June 1998) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Indian Super League club Mumbai City and the India national team. Career Early career Mehtab Singh was born in Khemkaran village in Punjab. He travelled around 165 kilometres from Khemkaran to Mahilpur football academy to learn to play football. He later represented the East Bengal U18 side in the 2017–18 U18 I-League. On 13 December 2017, he scored a goal to help his team to a victory over Mohun Bagan in a crucial under-18 I-League match. East Bengal He was promoted to the senior squad and played in the 2017–18 Calcutta Premier Division for the club. On 28 November 2017, he made I-League debut in a 2–2 draw against Aizawl F.C., Aizawl. Mehtab Singh Bhangu
Mehtab Singh (d. 1745) was a Sikh warrior and martyr. He was the son of Hara Singh of Mirarikot, a Ravidas Sikh of the Bhangu clan. Sikh Persecution Punjab had gone through an era of Sikh persecution under the Mughal governor of Lahore Zakariya Khan from 1726 to 1745 A.D. In 1740, the governor of Lahore put Massa Ranghar or Musalul Khan, a Chaudhury of Mandiala, in charge of Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). Sikhs were not allowed to visit Harmandir Sahib or to take a dip in the holy waters of its tank (sarovar). Massa Ranghar persecuted the Sikhs and looted the shops and homes of Hindus. He watched dancing girls perform, drank alcohol and smoked shisha inside Harmandir Sahib.
