Brown Meggs
Brown Moore Meggs (October 20, 1930October 8, 1997) was an American writer and music executive with Capitol Records. Meggs is known for signing the Beatles to their first distribution contract in the United States. He started the music magazine '' TeenSet'' for Capitol in 1964, and founded Seraphim Records, a bargain label for classical music. After serving Capitol as chief operating officer for two years, he resigned in 1976 to concentrate on his writing. Capitol enticed him back in 1984 as the president of Angel Records; he revived the label for the digital age. As a writer, he won Best Documentary from the Cowboy Hall of Fame for the 1962 documentary film ''Appaloosa'', and he was nominated for the Edgar Award for his mystery novel ''Saturday Games'' (1974). Alfred "Fred" Leslie Meggs III (April 18, 1952 – December 11, 2014) was an American composer. He composed and aired over 7,000 pieces of music on radio and television. He has written the music for movies and documentaries including ''First Landing'' (2006), ''From a Silk Cocoon'' (2004), and '' The Bill Collector'' (2010). Starting in 2003, Fred Meggs began to work on the television series ''Sell This House'', which has lasted for seven years. Kelly Meggs (born January 15, 1969) is an American convicted felon who previously led the Oath Keepers' Florida chapter. He was found guilty of seditious conspiracy following his forced entry into the United States Capitol during the January 6 United States Capitol attack. He is due to be sentenced in May 2023 and is facing a maximum of 20 years in prison. Oath Keepers activities Meggs was the leader of the Florida chapter of the alt-right and anti-government Oath Keepers organization. Anthony Jan Michael Meggs is a British petroleum industry executive and former civil servant, currently serving as the Chairman of Crossrail, and formerly as Chief Executive of the Infrastructure and Projects Authority, jointly part of the Treasury and the Cabinet Office. ''Ginger Meggs'', Australia's most popular and longest-running comic strip, was created in the early 1920s by Jimmy Bancks. The strip follows the escapades of a red-haired prepubescent mischief-maker who lives in an inner suburban working-class household. While employed at ''The Bulletin'', Bancks submitted cartoons to the ''Sydney Sunday Sun'', where he began his ''Us Fellers'' strip in 1921 in the "Sunbeams" section of the ''Sunday Sun''.
