Megan Williams Case
The Megan Williams case involves a 20-year-old African American woman from West Virginia, who was kidnapped, raped and tortured by six people, including several members of one family in a racist attack. Among other things, the suspects were charged with stabbing Williams, dousing her with hot water, and forcing her to eat rat, dog, and human feces. In addition, the suspects were alleged to have hurled racial slurs at her while doing so. The torture and sexual assault were said to have been carried out for about a week. At the time of Williams' removal from the residence, widely circulated photos of Williams in the hospital showed stab wounds on her legs and her hair seemingly pulled from its roots. Megan Mingyu Williams (11 September 195617 April 2000) was an Australian actress and singer, who played a continuing role as Alice Sullivan in the television drama ''The Sullivans'', and won a Logie Award for her work in ''Anzacs'' (1985). Early years Williams was born in London, England, to David and Chin Yu Williams who appeared in a West End production of ''South Pacific''. Her mother was described as " half-Chinese". At six months old, Williams had a minor TV role as an abandoned baby on ''The Adventures of Robin Hood''. Williams' family moved to Sydney, Australia, where she pursued an acting career. Megan Williams (born 1956) is a contemporary artist who creates wall drawings, three-dimensional drawings, and traditional sculpture. Early life and education Born in 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, in the U.S., Williams earned a B.F.A. in 1978 from the California Institute of the Arts. Megan Asha Williams (born June 30, 1984) is a Canadian born writer. Williams published her first book, ''Our Interrupted Fairy Tale'' in February 2014, a non-fiction book based on the diaries of her boyfriend(February 11, 1975 - November 28, 2009) who died from an incurable blood cancer, multiple myeloma. Williams published two children's books (''Don’t Call the Office'', 2016, ''I Don’t Want To'', 2018) with her stepdaughter, Madison Reaveley.
