Meet The Small Potatoes
''Meet the Small Potatoes'' is a 2013 family film written and directed by Josh Selig and starring Malcolm McDowell. It is a follow-up to Selig's 2011 television series '' Small Potatoes''. The film serves as both a prequel to and spinoff of the show. The special premiered on Disney Junior on February 15, 2013, using the voices and likenesses of real fans for the film's man on the street interviews. Plot The film is presented in the style of a mockumentary documenting the history of The Small Potatoes, a band of anthropomorphic singing potatoes. Narrative segments are interspersed with talking head interviews with the band's friends, manager Lester Koop (McDowell), and man on the street interviews with the band's fans (all of whom are potatoes). Josh Selig
Joshua Selig (born May 12, 1964) is an American television producer and director. He won ten Daytime Emmy Awards for his work as a writer on ''Sesame Street''. After leaving ''Sesame Street'', Selig partnered with Lori Shaer to create a studio called Little Airplane Productions. Through Little Airplane, Selig produced '' Oobi'' for Noggin, ''Wonder Pets!'' for Nickelodeon, and ''3rd & Bird'' for the BBC. Josh Selig left Little Airplane in 2020. ''Small Potatoes'' is an Animation, animated pre-school series written and directed by Josh Selig (creator of ''Oobi (TV series), Oobi'', ''Wonder Pets!'' and ''3rd & Bird'').
