Meera (2009 TV Series)
''Meera - Krishna Se Laagi Aisi Lagan Ek Rajkuvri Bani Jogan'' is an Indian historical drama television series produced by Sagar Pictures and written by Vipul Mehta. It is based on the life of Meera Bai, a 15th-century Hindu mystic and poet whose lyrical songs of devotion to the god Krishna are widely popular in northern India. The series, aired on NDTV Imagine from 27 July 2009 till 29 January 2010. Synopsis Meera, the great poet saint was born a princess in Khudki in Rajasthan in the early 16th century. Her father was Ratan Singh — the youngest son of Rao Dooda, the then ruler of Merta a small state in Marwar. From the time of her birth, it was predicted by Raidasji (a great saint) that Meera was meant for greater things and that her family would be known in through the decades because of her achievements. Rana Sanga
Sangram Singh I ( IAST: Rāṇā Saṅgrāma Siṃha; c. 1482 – 1528 CE), popularly known as Rana Sanga or Maharana Sanga, was an Indian ruler from the Sisodia dynasty. He ruled Mewar, the traditional territory of Guhilas (Sisodias) in present-day north-western India. However, through his capable rule his kingdom turned into one of the greatest power of Northern India in early sixteenth century. He controlled parts of present-day Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with capital at Chittor. His reign was admired by several of contemporaries including Babur, who described him the "greatest Indian king" of that time along with Krishnadevaraya of South India. Raza Murad (born 23 November 1950) is an Indian actor who appears primarily in Hindi films. He has over 250 Bollywood film credits. Rani Karnavati
Rani Karnavati also known as Rani Karmavati (died 8 March 1534), was a princess and temporary ruler from Bundi, India. She was married to Rana Sanga (c.1508-1528) of Mewar. She was the mother of the next two Ranas, Rana Vikramaditya and Rana Udai Singh, and grandmother of Maharana Pratap. She served as regent during the minority of her son, from 1527 until 1533. Bhoj Raj
Bhojraj Singh Sisodia (c. 1495–1526) was the eldest son of Rana Sanga, ruler of Mewar in western India. He is best known as the husband of the reputed bhakti poet-saint Meerabai. Biography Bhojraj Singh was born the eldest of the seven sons of Maharana Sangram Singh I (Rana Sanga) of Mewar. He was thus the heir apparent to the throne of Mewar, but predeceased his father and died without heirs male. His father was head of the Sisodia clan of Rajputs.
