''Mayday Parade'' is the third studio album by American rock band Mayday Parade. It was released by Fearless on October 4, 2011. The album debuted at number 12 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' 200, selling near to 27,000 copies in its first week, becoming the band's second highest charted album to date. Background and production In March 2009, it was announced Mayday Parade had signed to Atlantic. While working on their major label debut, '' Anywhere but Here'' (2009), Atlantic expected the band to make a pop album. While the band attempted to follow this direction, they were weighed down by "so much overbearing pressure", according to guitarist Brooks Betts. Vocalist Derek Sanders later recalled that "there was a lot of outside influence" from Atlantic that resulted in "a lot of co-writes". Mayday Parade
Mayday Parade is an American rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida, in 2005, as the result of a merger between two local Tallahassee bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment. Their debut EP '' Tales Told by Dead Friends'' was released in 2006 and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. In July 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album '' A Lesson in Romantics''. Having been signed to Fearless Records since 2006, the band also signed onto a major label with Atlantic Records in 2009. Their second studio album, '' Anywhere but Here'' was released in October 2009 and their third album, entitled '' Mayday Parade'', was released in October 2011. ''AbsolutePunk'' was a website, online community, and alternative music news source founded by Jason Tate (the most recent CEO). The website mainly focused on artists who are relatively unknown to mainstream audiences, but it was known to feature artists who have eventually achieved crossover success, for example, Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy. The primary musical genres of focus were emo and pop punk, but other genres were included. Absolutepunk was acquired by Buzzmedia in 2008. Heroes for Hire are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The team first appeared in ''Power Man and Iron Fist'' #54 (December 1978), and was created by Ed Hannigan and Lee Elias. The team continued to appear in comics regularly over the years, and has made guest appearances in television productions and game environments featuring other superheroes. The Postelles
The Postelles are four-piece rock band hailing from New York City. They formed at Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The band released their debut album, ''The Postelles'', on June 7, 2011. It was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes. The album was recorded at Quad Studios and Looking Glass Studios both in New York, and mixed by John O'Mahony in the Electric Lady Studios. The album was nominated for Best Rock/Hard Rock album in the Independent Music Awards. The band has played at Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and Iceland Airwaves. The Maine (band)
The Maine is an American Rock music, rock band from Tempe, Arizona. Formed in 2007, the group consists of lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist John O'Callaghan, lead guitarist Jared Monaco, bass guitarist Garrett Nickelsen, drummer Patrick Kirch, and rhythm guitarist Kennedy Brock. The band is joined by touring member Adam Simons, as of 2018, who plays keys, rhythm and lead guitar as well as percussion. The Warped Tour is a Concert tour, touring Rock music, rock music festival that toured the United States and Canada each summer from 1995 until 2019, and returned in 2025 for its 30th anniversary. By 2015, Warped was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival in North America. Anarbor
Anarbor is an American rock band from Phoenix which was formed in 2003. The band is composed of lead vocalist/bassist Slade Echeverria and guitarist Danny Stravers. Initially known as "Troop 101", the band changed their name to "Anarbor" later. In April 2008, the band was signed to Hopeless Records while still attending high school in Arizona. Since then, the band has released four EPs and three studio albums. History The band began playing together in Garrity's garage in the southern Phoenix community of Ahwatukee in early 2003. The Downtown Fiction
The Downtown Fiction was an American rock music, rock band from Fairfax, Virginia, Fairfax, Virginia. The Musical ensemble, band consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Cameron Leahy, bassist and backing vocalist David Pavluk, guitarist and backing vocalist Wes Dimond, and drummer Kyle Rodgers. Music career Lead singer/guitarist/primary songwriter Cameron Leahy met former drummer Eric Jones at Westfield High School (Virginia), Westfield High School, where they became friends.
