Max Evans (16 May 1923 – 25 September 2006) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Evans played beside his elder brother Ron at Richmond in 1947 and 1948, after coming to the club from Richmond United. He left Richmond for South Warrnambool Warrnambool (Maar: ''Peetoop'' or ''Wheringkernitch'' or ''Warrnambool'') is a city on the south-western coast of Victoria, Australia. Max Evans (politician)
George Maxwell Evans (29 November 1930 – 30 April 2019) was an Australian politician who represented the Liberal Party in the Legislative Council of Western Australia from 1986 to 2001. He served as a government minister from 1993 to 1999 under Richard Court. He was a chartered accountant and prominent in Western Australia's business community before entering politics. Evans was also involved with the Scouting Movement in Western Australia during his lifetime. Early life Evans was born in Perth, the second son of Victor Gordon Evans and the former Joyce Marguerite Stephens. He was raised in the western suburbs, attending Thomas Street State School, Subiaco (now known as Rosalie Primary School) from 1936 to 1942. He then went on to attend Scotch College from 1943 to 1948, and was prefect in his final year. He was on the school hockey, athletic, and tennis teams. Maxwell Brian Evans (born 12 September 1983) is a rugby union player who has won 44 caps for Scotland. He plays at centre and wing, and has been without a club since being released by Castres at the end of the 2015 season. Early life and education Evans was born in Torquay, England. He attended Wellington College with his brother and former Scottish international, Thom, as well as friends and former rugby team mates James Haskell and Paul Doran-Jones of Wasps RFC. Career Evans played golf professionally in Portugal from 2004–06 while recovering from a back injury suffered while playing for Harlequins' academy side.
