Mauritius Ferber
Mauritius Ferber (; 1471 – 1 July 1537) was a member of the patrician Ferber family. As Roman Catholic Prince- Bishop of Warmia (Ermland), he prevented most towns in his diocese from converting to Protestantism while the surrounding hitherto Catholic State of the Teutonic Order was transformed into the Duchy of Prussia and became the first state to adopt Lutheranism. Life The Ferber family had immigrated in 1415 from Kalkar to Danzig (Gdańsk). During four centuries, several members of the family served as mayor of Danzig, of which four served simultaneously. Mauritius Lowe (1746 – 1793) was a British painter and engraver. Lowe was one of the first students at the Royal Academy of Arts. While there he was awarded a gold medal, along with John Bacon and James Gandon. As a reward for his performance at the Academy, in 1771 Lowe was offered a "Traveling Studentship", a sponsorship to study art abroad for three years. His allowance was later forfeited however for misconduct. Mauritius Ngupita (born 13 December 2000) is a Namibian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Namibia in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 8 February 2018. Prior to his first-class debut, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Mauritius Vogt
Johann Georg Vogt (30 June 1669 – 17 August 1730), better known by his monastic name Mauritius Vogt, was a geographer, cartographer, musician, historian and a member of the Cistercian Order. Life Vogt was born in Bad Königshofen, Bavaria. As a child he came with his father, a geodesist, to a monastery in Plasy in Western Bohemia. He was educated there, before studying Philosophy and Theology at Charles University in Prague. After graduating, he returned to Plasy and joined the order in 1692, taking the monastic name Mauritius. He was ordained as a priest in 1698. Apart from occasional trips to Italy and Germany to study music, and temporary stays at the residences of his aristocratic supporters, most of his later life is closely connected with the monastery in Plasy and its surroundings. Mauritius Wilde (born 27 October 1965) is a German Benedictine priest, monk, professor, podcaster, spiritual director, and author. He has served as prior of the Primatial Abbey of the Sant'Anselmo in Rome since 2016.
