Matthew Wright (basketball)
Matthew Andrew Christopher Wright (born February 7, 1991) is a Filipino-Canadian professional basketball player for the Kawasaki Brave Thunders of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball at St. Bonaventure University. He has since become an ASEAN Basketball League, ABL champion, a two-time PBA All-Star Game, PBA All-Star, and a member of Philippines men's national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas. In college, Wright helped lead the St. Bonaventure Bonnies men's basketball, St. Bonaventure Bonnies to an Atlantic 10 championship and into the 2012 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2012 NCAA tournament. In his senior season, he led the team in scoring. After college, Wright started his professional career in France. Matthew Wright (born 14 December 1989) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Adelaide and the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was selected with pick 33 in the 2010 rookie draft from in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Early life Two years prior to being drafted, Wright fractured his skull when he was hit by a glass bottle at a party. Wright played for Walkerville in the South Australian Amateur Football League (now known as the Adelaide Footy League) and in the SANFL. After missing out on the 2009 national draft, Wright was one of four Adelaide Crows players selected in the 2010 rookie draft. Matthew Wright (born March 22, 1996) is an American professional football placekicker for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). Wright played college football for the UCF Knights where he was a member of the undefeated 2017 team that was selected as national champions by the Colley Matrix. Wright went undrafted in the 2019 NFL draft and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but never saw any NFL playing time. In 2020, he signed with the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL before being released and being resigned by the Steelers, with whom he made his NFL debut on December 7, 2020, against the Washington Football Team. He has also played on loan for Montrose, Falkirk, Elgin City, Nairn County and Brechin. Matthew Wright (born 13 May 1992) is a Barbadian triathlete. He qualified to represent Barbados at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Biography Wright was born in 1992 in Barbados, and grew up there. When young, he competed in multiple sports, including swimming, surfing, cricket and football. While in primary school, he tried out triathlon for the first time at a youth tournament organized by the Triathlon Association of Barbados. He then competed at triathlon events monthly and began focusing on the sport fully from age 16. Wright made his international debut at the 2009 Oklahoma PATCO in the junior division, placing 43rd. After continuing to compete in junior international competitions through 2011, Wright began attending Loughborough University in England. Gas Huffer was an American garage rock band from Washington. They were known for their informal and comical lyrics and their antic-laden stage presence. History Gas Huffer classified themselves loosely in the garage punk genre. The band created comic books with each album (drawn by all four members of the band, including Joe Newton, now deputy art director for ''Rolling Stone'' magazine), that contain the lyrics to the songs. This was done for every album up to (and including) "Just Beautiful Music". Gas Huffer played its final show – dubbed "The Last Huffer" – at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe on January 14, 2006.
