Matt Carter (Canadian Football)
Matt Carter (born August 2, 1986, in Kelowna, British Columbia) is a retired professional Canadian football wide receiver. He was drafted fifth overall by the BC Lions in the 2009 CFL Draft. He played CIS football for the Acadia Axemen. He was also a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Edmonton Eskimos and Ottawa Redblacks. Professional career Carter was drafted by the BC Lions in the first round of the 2009 CFL Draft and signed briefly to their practice roster before he asked to be released, so he could return closer to his family in Oakville, Ontario, as they dealt with a family medical issue. Several weeks later, the nearby Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed him to their practice roster. He spent three seasons with the Tiger-Cats until he became a free agent on February 15, 2012. He then signed with the Edmonton Eskimos on February 22, 2012. Emery (band)
Emery is an American post-hardcore band formed in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 2001 by Toby Morrell, Devin Shelton, Matt Carter, Josh Head, Joel Green, and Seth Studley. The band relocated to Seattle in order to reach a more music-centered scene. Before signing with Tooth & Nail Records, Emery recorded two EPs, ''The Columbus EEP Thee'' and ''The Weak's End'' demo that they used to attract attention from labels. With Tooth & Nail, they recorded five studio albums and two EPs. '' The Weak's End'', their debut album, was released in 2004, followed by '' The Question'' in 2005 and '' I'm Only a Man'' in 2007. Matthew John Carter (born 22 March 1972) is a former General Secretary of the British Labour Party, and now works in the public relations and communications consultancy industry. Early life Born near Grimsby, Carter studied at Sheffield University and the University of York, and has a DPhil in Political History. Carter was tutor in the Department of Politics at the University of York from 1994. He subsequently held a number of jobs in the Labour Party, including head of policy, local organiser for Teesside and Durham and regional director in South West England during the 2001 general election. Matt Carter (born May 13, 1981) is an American stock car racing driver and the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car owner Travis Carter. Early career Before moving on to ARCA and NASCAR, Carter ran in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, where he was named Rookie of the Year in 2004. He scored one win in the series, coming at Iowa Speedway in September 2007. ARCA Carter made his debut in the series in 2008. He replaced Frank Kimmel in the No. 46 Stine Seed Ford for Larry Clement and made a run for the championship. He won his first career race at Toledo Speedway after starting 13th.
