Matinkylä Manor
Matinkylä (; sv, Mattby, ; both literally translated the "village of Matt/ Matti") is one of the major districts of Espoo, a city on the southern coast of Finland. Matinkylä sits between the Länsiväylä highway and the coast of the Gulf of Finland, between the areas of Haukilahti and Iivisniemi. The middle part of Matinkylä consists of high apartment buildings, whereas the southern part consists of terraced houses and shorter apartment buildings. There are also some detached houses and paired houses in the area. Iirislahti in eastern Matinkylä, as well as Nuottalahti, Nuottaniemi and Koukkuniemi in southern Matinkylä consist of smaller houses. Matinkylä also has a marine area with many islands, such as Iso Vasikkasaari and Miessaari. About 30,000 people live in the Greater Matinkylä area, consisting of Matinkylä itself and the neighbouring areas of Olari and Henttaa. Olari, Espoo
Olari (Finnish) or Olars (Swedish) is a district of the city of Espoo, Finland. Olari is located about 15 kilometres west of central Helsinki, north of the Länsiväylä highway and Matinkylä. The district has a population of about 15,000. The district is famous for its contribution to the Finnish rap culture. One of the most notable landmarks of the district is Olari Church and Parish Centre, designed by architects Simo and Käpy Paavilainen, and completed in 1981. ''Länsiväylä'' is a Finnish language free newspaper published twice a week in the cities of Espoo, Kauniainen and Kirkkonummi in southern Finland, on Wednesdays and weekends. The total readership of ''Länsiväylä'' numbers 136 thousand. The print newspaper has 121 thousand readers, the combined print and digital newspaper has nine thousand and the digital newspaper has 15 thousand. Matinkylä Metro Station
Matinkylä ( Finnish) or Mattby ( Swedish) is an underground station of the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro. It is located at the southern end of Iso Omena shopping centre. 3 December 2022, the extension from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti opened as part of the second phase of the Länsimetro. Mattlidens Gymnasium
Mattlidens Gymnasium is a Swedish speaking upper secondary school in Espoo, Finland. It was founded in 1977 as a standalone upper secondary school from Drumsö Svenska Samskola. With nearly 700 students, the school is the largest Swedish speaking high school in Finland. The school is an International Baccalaureate affiliate school, with about 150 students studying for the IB Diploma. The non-IB students opt to study towards the Swedish-speaking version of the Finnish Matriculation Exam (see: Studentexamen). IB intake is usually 50 students. Tectonic uplift is the geologic uplift of Earth's surface that is attributed to plate tectonics. While isostatic response is important, an increase in the mean elevation of a region can only occur in response to tectonic processes of crustal thickening (such as mountain building events), changes in the density distribution of the crust and underlying mantle, and flexural support due to the bending of rigid lithosphere. Tectonic uplift results in denudation (processes that wear away the earth's surface) by raising buried rocks closer to the surface. Espoonlahti ( Finnish) or Esboviken ( Swedish) (literally ''The Bay of Espoo'' or ''Espoo Bay'') is one of the five major urban areas of Espoo, a city in Finland.
