''Materia (Pelle)'' () is the seventh studio album by Italian singer-songwriter Marco Mengoni, released by Sony Music Italy on 7 October 2022 as the second part of the trilogy, ''Materia'', consisting of three separately-released parts: ''Terra'', ''Pelle'', and ''Prisma''. Each part revolves around one of the album's central themes of the artist's personal musical journey throughout his career. The album includes a cover of the song "Caro amore lontanissimo" by Sergio Endrigo, soundtrack of the film ''Il colibrì'' directed by Francesca Archibugi. Marco Mengoni (; born 25 December 1988) is an Italian singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2009, after winning the third season of Italian talent show ''X Factor (Italian TV series), X Factor''. Since then he has sold over 2.8 million records in Italy, peaking the Italian albums chart seven consecutive times and entering the Top 10 Italian Singles Chart fifteen times. Fabio Ilacqua (born 8 October 1975) is an Italian lyricist, composer, arranger, record producer and singer-songwriter. Riccardo Sinigallia (born 4 March 1970) is an Italian singer, songwriter, and record producer. Life and career Sinigallia, born in Rome in 1970, began writing songs at the age of twelve and gained notoriety within the underground music scene during the 1980s, participating in groups such as the 10 PM Band and 6 Suoi Ex. He received the "Mia Martini" Critics Award at the Sanremo Music Festival in 2000 and in 2012, with the songs "Replay" and "Un pallone", respectively.
