''Masoom'' () is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language drama film, the directorial debut of Shekhar Kapur. It is an adaptation of the 1980 Erich Segal novel '' Man, Woman and Child,'' which was also adapted into a Malayalam movie '' Olangal'' and an American movie '' Man, Woman and Child''. The film stars Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Saeed Jaffrey in lead roles, with Tanuja and Supriya Pathak in special appearances. Rahi Masoom Raza (1 September 1927 – 15 March 1992) was an Indian Urdu and Hindi poet and writer and a Bollywood lyricist. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue three times, for his work in '' Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki'' (1979), ''Tawaif'' (1985) and '' Lamhe'' (1991). Mir Masoom Ali (born February 1, 1937) is a Bangladeshi American statistician, Distinguished Professor, educator, researcher and author. He migrated to the United States in 1969 and became a naturalized citizen in 1981. Ali founded the graduate and undergraduate programs in statistics at Ball State University. He co-founded the Midwest Biopharmaceutical Statistics Workshop (MBSW-History), held at Ball State University annually since 1978, and co-sponsored by the American Statistical Association. Mohammed Masoom Stanekzai (Pashto: محمد معصوم ستانکزی; 1958) is a former Minister, Chief Peace Negotiator, and chief of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
