Bricklayer
A bricklayer, which is related to but different from a mason, is a craftsperson and tradesperson who lays bricks to construct brickwork. The terms also refer to personnel who use blocks to construct blockwork walls and other forms of masonry. In British and Australian English, a bricklayer is colloquially known as a "brickie". A stone mason is one who lays any combination of stones, cinder blocks, and bricks in construction of building walls and other works. Bricklaying is a part of masonry. Bricklaying may also be enjoyed as a hobby. For example, the former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill did bricklaying as a hobby. Mason is a city in southwestern Warren County, Ohio, United States, approximately north of downtown Cincinnati. As of the United States Census 2020, 2020 census, Mason's population was 34,792. It is home to Kings Island amusement park and one of the largest tennis stadiums in the world, the Lindner Family Tennis Center, home of the Cincinnati Open, one of the world's top tennis tournaments for both men and women. History On June 1, 1803, American Revolutionary War, Revolutionary War veteran William Mason paid $1,700 at auction to purchase of land in what is now downtown Mason. MASON is a multi-agent simulation environment developed in Java. Development MASON is developed at George Mason University's Evolutionary Computation Laboratory in conjunction with the GMU Center for Social Complexity. Mason is the remains of a lunar impact crater that lies in the northeastern part of the Moon. It is nearly attached to the eastern rim of the flooded crater Plana, and southeast of Bürg. Along the northern rim of Mason is the southern edge of the Lacus Mortis, a small lunar mare. To the south is the larger Lacus Somniorum. This is a heavily eroded crater formation that is somewhat irregular in shape, being longer in the east–west direction. Mason is a village in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 101 at the 2020 census. The village is located within the Town of Mason. U.S. Highway 63 serves as a main route in the community. History In the early 1880s, a railroad line, operated by the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway was built to serve northern Wisconsin, crossing the White River at what would become the Village of Mason. After the railroad was established, John Alexander Humbird opened the White River Lumber Company on the banks of the White River. The mill served as the catalyst for the settling of the area. A post office called Mason has been in operation since 1883. The mill closed in 1914 when the area no longer contained enough trees to continue supporting the mill and the population of the town decreased significantly as a result. Mason is a city in, and the county seat of, Mason County, Texas, United States. The city is an agricultural community on Comanche Creek southwest of Mason Mountain, on the Edwards Plateau and part of the Llano Uplift. Its population was 2,121 at the 2020 census.
