Marvellous
''Marvellous'' is a 90-minute British drama television film first broadcast on BBC Two on 25 September 2014. Directed by Julian Farino and written by Peter Bowker, it is about the life of Neil Baldwin from Westlands, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. In the 1990s Baldwin, now an honorary graduate of Keele University, was appointed as Stoke City Football Club's kit-man by its manager Lou Macari. Baldwin's autobiography, ''Marvellous: Neil Baldwin – My Story'', was published in hardback in 2015. In 2022 his story was told on stage, in a play, also called ''Marvellous'', performed at the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme and at @sohoplace in London's West End. Peter Bowker
Peter Bowker (born 5 January 1959) is a British playwright and screenwriter. Nicholas Gleaves
Nicholas Gleaves (born 2 January 1969) is an English actor and playwright. Career Gleaves's first theatre part was as an extra in ''Don Carlos'' at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. He did several plays there including the lead in ''Macbeth''. When interviewed about this play, he said he never had the superstition that surrounded it, "...all that spitting and spinning round — it all seems like quite hard work". Greg McHugh
Greg McHugh (born 5 January 1980) is a Scottish actor and writer. He is the creator, writer and star of the BBC1 comedy series '' Gary: Tank Commander''. He also played Howard in the Channel 4 comedy '' Fresh Meat''. Early life and education Greg McHugh was born in Morningside, Edinburgh, on 5 January 1980. His father was a civil servant, and his mother a teacher. McHugh has two older brothers. McHugh attended St Peter's RC primary school and then St Thomas of Aquin's High School.
