Marky Ramone and the Intruders were an American punk rock band formed by drummer Marky Ramone after the retirement of the Ramones. The band is similar in sound to the Ramones but with a more powerful bass. The band released only two albums in its short existence. Todd Youth of Murphy's Law was the frontman for a short time. Punk rock (also known as simply punk) is a rock music genre that emerged in the mid-1970s. Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band formed in the New York City neighborhood Forest Hills, Queens in 1974. Known for helping establish the punk movement in the United States and elsewhere, the Ramones are often recognized as one of the first bands of the genre. Although they had never achieved significant commercial success during their existence, the band is seen today as highly influential in Punk subculture, punk culture. All members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname Ramone, although none were biologically related; they were inspired by Paul McCartney, who would check into hotels under the alias Paul Ramon. The Ramones performed 2,263 concerts, touring virtually nonstop for 22 years, and released fourteen studio albums. Marky Ramone
Marc Steven Bell (born July 15, 1952), better known as Marky Ramone, is an American drummer. He began playing in hard rock bands in the New York City area, notably Dust (band), Dust and Estus. He was asked to drum for punk rock band Richard Hell and the Voidoids. He replaced drummer Tommy Ramone in the Ramones in 1978. He played with the band from 1978 to 1983 and 1987 to 1996 and was their longest-serving drummer. He has also played drums for other punk rock and heavy metal bands, including his own band Marky Ramone and the Intruders. He continues to keep the Ramones legacy alive around the world with his band Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg. Ramone lives in Brooklyn Heights with his wife, Marion Flynn. Todd Youth
Todd Schofield (May 15, 1970 – October 27, 2018), known as Todd Youth, was an American guitarist, best known for his work with Warzone, Murphy's Law and Danzig. Biography Starting in 6th grade, Todd began sneak out from home into New York City where he was playing in several New York hardcore bands, leading to the nickname, Youth (given by HR from Bad Brains). He received his first bass guitar, a BC Rich, for his 10th birthday in 1981. Early influences included Black Sabbath and Kiss. He is mentioned as being the bass player in a very early Agnostic Front as well as Cro-Mags line-up, alongside Harley Flanagan on drums, Parris Mayhew on guitar, and Eric Casanova on vocals. Youth also played for New York City act Warzone until around 1986. He joined Murphy's Law that year, recording on various works with them, including three full-length albums. Garrett Uhlenbrock, (born Garrett James Uhlenbrock, 21 August 1964) aka Skinny Bones is an American punk rock musician and songwriter, best known for co-writing songs for the New York based band, the Ramones. Record producer Bill Laswell introduced Uhlenbrock to Dee Dee Ramone in 1989. Uhlenbrock wrote "The Job That Ate My Brain", and "Anxiety" with Marky Ramone for ''Mondo Bizarro'', which was released in 1992. In 1995, Uhlenbrock and Marky Ramone co-wrote "Have A Nice Day", which was recorded by the Ramones for the ''¡Adios Amigos!'' album (RARD11273 Radioactive Records). Thirsty Ear Recordings is an American independent record label. It was founded in the late 1970s as a marketing company for the then-unnamed alternative music field, and expanded to issue its own records in 1990. Thirsty Ear came to prominence in the mid-1990s with a series of CD reissues of early industrial albums by artists such as Foetus, Einstürzende Neubauten, Marc Almond, Swans, and Test Dept.
