Mark Chelgren
Eric Mark Chelgren (born January 21, 1968) is an American politician who served in the Iowa Senate. He is a member of the Republican Party. He was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. He represented District 41. He has drawn controversy for proposing legislation that would cap the percentage difference in political parties of professors and instructors that state universities can hire. He also drew controversy for his false claim of having a "business degree" from the "Forbco Management School," which was in fact a manager training course run by a company that operated Sizzler restaurants in southern California. Chelgren announced in March 2018 that he would not be a candidate for reelection in 2018. Early life Chelgren was born in Ross, California on January 21, 1968. Ross, California
Ross is a small incorporated town in Marin County, California, United States, just north of San Francisco. Ross is located west-southwest of San Rafael, at an elevation of . The population was 2,338 at the 2020 census. The town is bordered by San Rafael to the east, Kentfield to the south, San Anselmo to the north, and the Mount Tamalpais protected watershed to the west. Roby Smith (born 1977) is an American businessman and politician from Iowa. He is currently serving as Treasurer of Iowa since 2023. He previously was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2010, and represented District 47. He headed the State Government Committee. He is a small business owner, and holds a Business degree from Concordia University. He is an Eagle Scout recipient, and supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.
