Mariebjerg Cemetery
Mariebjerg Cemetery (Danish: ''Mariebjerg Kirkegård'') is located in Gentofte north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was laid out between 1926 and 1933 to the design of the landscape architect Gudmund Nyeland Brandt and is considered an important example of European Modernist landscape architecture. Its design has inspired many other cemeteries both in Denmark and abroad. Layout Mariebjerg Cemetery is laid out in a tight, schematic grid pattern over an area of just over 25 hectares. A network of wide avenues cut through the cemetery and long, metre-high hedges subdivide the area. Each of the resulting spaces contains an interpretation of a characteristic part of the Danish landscape, ranging from dense woods and glades, over ditches, meadows, fields and overgrown slopes to well-nursed garden settings. Nanna Ditzel
Nanna Ditzel (October 6, 1923 in Copenhagen - June 17, 2005 in Copenhagen) was a Danish furniture designer. She studied at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen with painter Victor Isbrand, Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, Peter Hvidt and Kaare Klint graduating in 1946. Her works include making cabinets, jewelry, tableware and textiles. She also made jewelry designs for Georg Jensen and furniture for Frederica. Mogens Bøggild
Mogens Kruse Bøggild (11 June 1901 – 25 April 1987) was a Danish sculptor. He specialized in figures of animals, including the granite ''Grisebrønden'' (Pig Fountain) in Aarhus which he created from 1941 to 1950. Biography Born in Hillerød, after being introduced to painting by Karl Jensen at the local Technical School, Bøggild studied under Einar Utzon-Frank at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Showing a particular interest in Italian Renaissance art, he was inspired by the works of Theodor Philipsen and J.Th. Lundbye as well as by Joakim Skovgaard's more recent ''Dragespringvand''. Poul Bundgaard
Poul Arne Bundgaard (27 October 1922 – 3 June 1998) was a Danish actor and singer. He is probably best known for his role as the henpecked Kjeld in the ''Olsen-banden'' films. He also appeared in the 1966 spy film ''Strike First Freddy'' as the villain, and as the elf Gammel Nok in ''The Julekalender''.
