Marie Bjerre
Marie Bjerre (born 6 May 1986 in Viborg, Denmark, Viborg) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Venstre (Denmark), Venstre political party. She was elected into the Folketing in the 2019 Danish general election, and re-elected in 2022. Political career Parliament Bjerre was elected into the Folketing at the 2019 election, receiving 8,627 votes. She was re-elected in 2022. Minister of Digitalisation and Equality On 15 December 2022, she was appointed minister of digitalisation and equality. On 23 November 2023, she was shuffled out of cabinet in a minor reshuffle and was succeeded by Mia Wagner. However, Wagner resigned after two weeks due to illness, and Bjerre was re-appointed to the position. Minister For Gender Equality (Denmark)
The Minister for Gender Equality ( Danish: ''Ligestillingsministeriet'', literally Ministry for Equality) is a Danish ministry that works on improving equal gender rights across all other ministry areas. The first Minister for Gender Equality was appointed by the Prime Minister on 1 July 1999. Ministers of Equality Every Minister has held this title alongside another title. Jytte Andersen and Lotte Bundsgaard were also city and housing ministers. Henriette Kjær, Eva Kjer Hansen were social ministers. Karen Jespersen was also Social Minister, later welfare minister. Inger Støjberg was also employment minister and Lykke Friis was also climate minister. DR (broadcaster)
DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. DR was originally funded by a media licence, however since 2022, the media license has been replaced by an addition to the Danish income tax. Today, DR operates three television channels, all of which are distributed free-to-air via a nationwide DVB-T2 network. DR also operates seven radio channels. General elections were held in the Kingdom of Denmark on 5 June 2019 to elect all 179 members of the Folketing; 175 in Denmark proper, two in the Faroe Islands and two in Greenland. The elections took place ten days after the European Parliament elections. Mette Frederiksen
Mette Frederiksen (; born 19 November 1977) is a Danish politician who has been Prime Minister of Denmark since June 2019, and Leader of the Social Democrats since June 2015. The second woman to hold either office, she is also the youngest prime minister in Danish history. Besides a brief career as a trade unionist (2000–2001), Frederiksen has never had any employment outside politics. She was first elected to the Folketing in the 2001 general election, representing Copenhagen County. After the Social Democrats won the 2011 general election, she was appointed Minister of Employment by Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt. She was promoted to Minister of Justice in 2014.
